Just some of the pictures of our visitors - Enjoy!
And here are just a few of the wonderful dogs I was blessed to foster over the years.
They all hold a special place in my heart!
They all hold a special place in my heart!
Bella Rosa
- Bella Rosa was supposed to be my current foster. However she had other ideas! She is staying and we are madly in love with her! She is 6 years young, has a collapsing trachea, enlarged heart and liver and is a little "fluffy"! We are taking some of the weight off and working with her to get healthy. She is amazing!
Molly
- Molly was a 4 week old puppy at the shelter with pneumonia. I nursed her for eight weeks, she slept on my chest at night for warmth, came into the bathroom when I showered to get steamed, I gave her fluids daily subcutaneously and more. She recovered and was adopted by a friend of mine! She is healthy, happy and huge! Super long legs and plays all the time with her friend Maggie (see her pics below!)
mel and her babies
- Mel was a single teen mom from Compton with four babies! She was less than a year old herself and really did not want to be a mom. With a lot of help from my friends, we bottle fed her babies and helped her to adjust. She was adopted by my dear friends that helped and her babies were all adopted by friends of ours.
Lola and her babies
- Lola and her four babies were only supposed to be here for 7-10 days, but Lola had other ideas! She liked it here and decided to stay. One of her babies developed a heart murmur and I had to keep them for eight weeks to see how he would fare. He healed perfectly and the four babies were taken up to Oregon to be adopted out there. Lola stayed with Lily and myself until she moved in with one of my friends. Lola and she fell madly in love with each other at first site, but my friend had just lost her beloved dogs and was not ready to adopt. Lola soon changed that for her and they are now living a lovely life together.
- These dogs were all a part of the Best Friends Los Angeles "Pup My Ride" program and they stayed with me for a few weeks and then were transported to Oregon or Washington to be adopted out there. All but Maggie! Molly's mom met her and fell madly in love and adopted her!
